strategic thinking business communication critical thinking presentation skillsA full class of finance mid to senior level professionals, under the guidance of a Humber College instructor, will analyze a Financial Services challenge of your choice and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
Learners
Phase 1 – Project Plan: Students will meet with organization representative(s) to devise the project scope and prepare a detailed plan for completion of the project.
Phase 2 – Project Execution: Students will work on deliverables outlined in the project plan. Teams will periodically communicate with organization representative(s) as needed to complete project tasks.
Phase 3 - Outcome: The final deliverables will be agreed upon in the Project Plan phase and will vary by project. Generally, your organization will receive a report, live presentation, or project plan.

Requirements
Starting in mid May, a class of over 20 student-consultants with professional experience will spend 200+ collective hours developing recommendations for a finance challenge of your choice.
Based on the information your organization provides and student-consultant research, they will provide you with recommendations to optimize your operations and overcome your unique organizational challenges.
Possible projects topics include:
- Finance.
- Risk, Audit & Compliance.
- Fraud.
- Customer Service.
- Bank Products.
- Financing and Loans.
- Mergers and Acquisition.
- Equity Research.
- Insurance.
- Capital Markets.
- Investments.
Specific examples include, but are not limited to:
- Comparing different insurance providers curating a recommend selection for your business.
- Reviewing the allocations of an investment portfolio.
- Analyzing your customer invoicing processes and providing recommendations for improvement.
